Paso Robles Wine Festival Details

One of the biggest events in Paso Robles is coming up soon! As your Central California real estate agent, I want to fill you in on the details of it. Mark your calendar for May 14 through May 17, when the 33rd Annual Paso Robles Wine Festival Rolls into town!

This special event showcases and celebrates this spectacular region of wines. To do so, more than 70 wineries join together in Paso Robles Downtown City Park to showcase their wines during the Grand Tasting event on Saturday, May 16.

The wineries are arranged by “region,” so attendees can focus on one tasting experience at a time. Styles to look forward to tasting include Bordeaux, Rhone, Zinfandel, Burgundian, Italian and other wild wine styles. When you purchase tickets, you can also order a lunch from one of the new pre-packaged picnic lunch options! It even comes with a reusable Paso lunch bag. While you eat, you can enjoy live music from the Damon Castillo Band.

Also at the Grand Tasting, you can check out the Educational Experiences by Rhone Rangers and CAB Collective, which are included in the price of the ticket. You’ll taste wine and know everything there is to know about them when the event is said and done. There will also be a Garagiste Lounge, where you can taste from some small-lot producers in Paso Robles.

The Paso Robles Wine Festival actually kicks off on Thursday, May 14, with a selection of winemaker dinners. One will take place at Thomas Hill Organics, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and the other will take place at Il Cortile Ristorante, beginning at 7 p.m. Both dinners have limited seating, so purchase your tickets early!

Then on Friday, May 15, select wineries will feature their Library, Reserve, White/Rose and Futures, paired with fresh and local gourmet bites at the RESERVE event from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $135 ahead of time or $150 the day of, if still available. These tickets also grant you early admission into the Grand Tasting! If you only want a ticket to RESERVE and not the Grand Tasting, ticket cost is $80 or $100 the day of.

On Saturday morning, there will be a fun and educational winemaker seminar before the Grand Tasting from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Cost is $25. Then for the Grand Tasting from 1 to 4 p.m., tickets cost $65 ahead of time or $80 the day of, if still available. Picnic lunches cost $10 and must be reserved ahead of time.

Altogether, more than 140 winery events will take place throughout the weekend! These include dinners, live music, barrel samplings, delicious food and more. If you just moved to Paso Robles, you have guests visiting that weekend, or you’ve lived here forever and are just enjoying another year of great wine and company, this is not a weekend you will want to miss.

Purchase your tickets and get excited for a fun weekend in Paso Robles, just a few weeks away! In the meantime, browse the Paso Robles real estate market. If you have questions, contact me, your Central California real estate agent!
