SLO County in the News All Over the World!

SLO County Attractions
Peacocks roam freely at one SLO County vineyard.

As a Central California real estate agent, I like to share when Central California is mentioned in the news. This month, SLO County has been mentioned numerous times, including from news outlets in Canada and London! The word is out. Central California is the place to be.

Here are a few noteworthy mentions:

The Culture Trip

Kelsey See Canyon Vineyards in San Luis Obispo was named on The Culture Trip’s list of California’s 12 stunning vineyards to visit. As mentioned in the article, Kelsey See Canyon Vineyards is a family-run winery established in 1999. It stands out because of its rustic beauty, including an apple orchard, See Canyon Creek and over 100 peacocks that roam the grounds! They are open every day of the week for tastings and tours, so if you haven’t been for a while, or ever, stop by to try their apple-grape blends and dessert wines.

Sculpterra Winery and Sculpture Garden in Paso Robles was also listed as one of the most stunning vineyards to visit in California, in the same article. As mentioned, this is a great venue for wine enthusiasts and art lovers. You can stroll along paths that maneuver through manicured landscaping, beautiful sculptures and ironwork. The tasting room has even more art, with miniature sculptures, which you can take home as souvenirs. Stop by their tasting room to view the art and the beautiful grounds, and also to try their wines, which range from Sauvignon Blanc to Pinot Noir to Viognier.

The Guardian

The Guardian wrote up a top 10 guide when taking a Paso Robles wine route. Must-see wineries they mention include Bianchi Winery, JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery, Halter Ranch Vineyard, Red Soles and Villa San Juliette. Restaurants you must dine at while in Paso Robles included Thomas Hill Organics, La Cosecha Bar & Restaurant, and Artisan. Places to stay included Bike Lane Inn and Paso Robles Inn.

Wine Enthusiast

Foremost Wine Co. in San Luis Obispo was featured on Wine Enthusiast’s Top 100 Best Wine Restaurants list. This is attributed to their hand-picked wine pairings and their farm fresh, locally sourced ingredients. It is located right Downtown SLO, is open for lunch and dinner, and offers full meals or small plates to pair with your choice of wine.

Ember Restaurant in Arroyo Grande also made the list! Ember Restaurant is only two years old. They specialize in wood-fired cooking and Central Coast wines. Specialties on the menu include Monterey Bay squid “pasta nero,” wood-fired lobster stuffed with king trumpet and oyster mushrooms, Cayucos abalone and crispy pork belly, and many others. Two dozen wines are available to choose from as well.

As you can see, there are many local vineyards and businesses worth visiting and boasting about in Central California. Want to relocate here? Ready to buy a Central California home? As your Central California real estate agent, I am here and ready to help you! Contact me when ready.
