The month of February means it’s the month for chocolate, wine, champagne and loved ones! As your Central California real estate agent, I’ve put together a list of events taking place in SLO County this Valentine’s Day. All you have to do is choose an event from the list, make a reservation, and then grab your sweetie or a group of friends and head out!
There are plenty of indulging options for this Valentin’s Day in SLO County, whether you prefer local food, local wine, champagne, chocolate, comedy, a romantic movie or more! Check out this list:
1. Enjoy an old-fashioned Valentine’s Day Supper Club Spectacular at Hunter Ranch on Friday, Feb. 12, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Savor a five-course meal by candlelight while enjoying the soulful sounds of The King’s of Cool: Chad Stevens, Join Laird, Brett Mitchells, Bobby Horn and friends. They will serenade you during dinner, and then afterward, enjoy some dancing! Reservations are required.
2. Head to Apple Farm Restaurant in San Luis Obispo on Feb. 12 for their February Winemaker Dinner! Savor a five-course, farm-to-table meal paired with wines from Pianetta Winery in Paso Robles. It will take place on their heated patio, weather permitting, and will feature live acoustic music. It begins at 6 p.m. Reservations are required. They will also serve a special menu on Feb. 14.
3. If you could use a laugh this Valentine’s Day, grab tickets to the Big Laugh Valentines Comedy Event at the Atascadero Lake Pavilion on Feb. 13. This will include four comedians, red carpet photos, appetizers and desserts provided by Haute Skillet Gourmet, and beer, local wine and champagne available for purchase. Doors open at 7 p.m., grab tickets early!
4. Plan a Valentine Movie Date Night in Paso Robles on Feb. 14, sponsored by Park Cinemas. Cost is $12 and includes popcorn and soda or champagne and chocolates. The movie shown will be “The Apartment,” winner of five Academy Awards, with Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLaine and Fred MacMurray. Movie starts at 7 p.m. Buy tickets in advance!
5. Satisfy your sweet tooth with a Valentine’s Weekend Truffle Pairing on Feb. 13 and 14 at Robert Hall Winery in Paso Robles! Grab your significant other or friend and enjoy three gourmet, hand-crafted chocolate truffles infused with and paired with dessert wines. Cost is $10 per couple. Additional wine tastings are available for an extra charge.
