As a Central Coast real estate agent, I love seeing new businesses pop up along the Central Coast! It’s a sign of a thriving economy, and it’s fun to check out the new businesses and get a taste of something new. That’s why I’m excited to share this list of new restaurants in Monterey County!
Whether you’re in the taste for seafood, comfort food or Mediterranean food, there is something new in the area for you to try. See Monterey recently shared a list of the latest restaurants to open their doors in Monterey County. Here’s a summary of what they shared:
- Melville Tavern – Downtown Monterey – This newest eatery features cozy brick façade and a slew of comfort food favorites, with a twist of sophistication. Lunch and dinner options include pork shank with creamy polenta, or lamb burger with feta cheese and yogurt sauce. You can also enjoy a variety of beers and wines, including a $3 beer of the week!
- Mediterranean Restaurant – Carmel-by-the-Sea – This sister restaurant to Dametra restaurant serves up the same authentic cuisine, live entertainment and family-friendly atmosphere. The difference is the location on Ocean Avenue, and its beautiful wall décor. Enjoy dolmas, lamb shanks, Greek Moussaka and more!
- The Crab House – Old Fisherman’s Wharf – Enjoy panoramic views of Monterey Bay while sipping on cheap margaritas and a delicious seafood dish. This south-of-the-border menu stands out from its neighbors with menu items such as burritos, tacos and enchiladas, along with a basket of tortilla chips at every table.
- Lalla Oceanside Grill – Cannery Row – This sanctuary resides in the heart of bustling Monterey, but you’ll forget where you are in this quiet sanctuary. Enjoy crashing waves and amazing views of Monterey Bay while savoring California coastal cuisine and a menu of incredibly unique craft cocktails. Cheers!
- Scales Seafood & Steaks – Old Fisherman’s Wharf – If you love Old Fisherman’s Grotto, you’ll love this restaurant owned and operated by the same family. This casual space offers a cozy bar lounge, a grab-and-go café, and a dining room with awesome views and a wide variety of steaks, seafood and pasta.
Before or after you eat, stop by the new Sovino Wine Bar located in the esplanade near Custom House Plaza in Downtown Monterey. Here you can find California produced wines, with lots of Monterey County wines, of course. Pair your wine with a cheese or charcuterie plate if you so wish.
