How are you enjoying the fall season in Central California so far? Have you baked an apple pie, carved a pumpkin or picked out a Halloween costume yet? As your Central California real estate agent, I want to help you enjoy all that fall has to offer in Monterey County by filling you in on fall festivals taking place in the area this month. Mark your calendar!

1.  This Saturday, Oct. 10, bring the whole family to The Farm in Salinas for their Fall Festival! It includes a live puppet show at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., pumpkin races at 12 p.m., free hayrides until 1 p.m. and cow-train rides for $5. It’s free to attend.

2.  This Sunday, Oct. 11, head to Hidden Valley for the Carmel Valley Wine Experience Harvest Festival! This food and wine affair will feature an array of wines from local wineries, food from local restaurants, live music and winemaking demonstrations. 3.  On Saturday, Oct. 17, Oldtown Salinas turns into a culinary paradise for the Salinas Valley Food & Wine Festival! 4.  Oct. 17 and 24, sign up for a haunted ghost tour through Point Sur Lightstation in Big Sur! Beginning at 5:15 p.m., watch the sunset, enjoy a buffet dinner in the barn, and then take the spooky tour. Top off the evening with ghost stories, dessert and beverages. Cost is $85. Kids under age six are not permitted.

5.  Oct. 24, deck the kids out in their Halloween costumes for the 4th Annual Downtown PG Trick-or-Treating Extravaganza in Pacific Grove!
