See Monterey shared a list of what they consider the top places to do your holiday shopping this year. I’ve summarized the ones most noteworthy of sharing:
- Northridge Mall in Salinas is Monterey County’s largest mall, with over 130 shops. If you are buying for a lot of people, and have a very long list, this is the place to go to get as much done as possible.
- Del Monte Shopping Center in Monterey is another large shopping center, with department stores, brand stores, restaurants and a movie theater! Here, you can make a day of it, ending with a movie to get you off your feet.
- Carmel Plaza is the place the go for luxury shopping. It’s loaded with designer brands and is close to Carmel-by-the-Sea’s coastline, so you can enjoy some breathtaking views during or after shopping.
- American Tin Cannery in Pacific Grove is Monterey County’s only outlet mall, so if you are looking for designer brands at a more affordable price, this is the place for you.
- The Barnyard in Carmel is an excellent place to shop when looking for a unique, one-of-a-kind gift for someone special. These specialty shops feature interesting treasures you might not find elsewhere.
- Crossroads Shopping Village is near The Barnyard and also features an entire avenue of boutiques, jewelry and gift shops. Branch out this Christmas and buy some more personal items!
- Thinker Toys in Carmel-by-the-Sea is a great toy store to stop into for the kids on your shopping list. It offers unique, hard-to-find toys that are great for kids or for the child in all of us.
- A Taste of Monterey on Cannery Row is a great place to find a gift for a visiting guest. Regional and handmade gifts are plentiful, and they even offer sips and samples of local fare for holiday shoppers!
- Farmer’s markets are a great place to find locally made gift items! They carry more than just food. Gift ideas include soaps, local honey and stocking stuffers. They can be found in Pacific Grove, Monterey, Marina and more.
- Diggidy Dog in Carmel-by-the-Sea is a great place to find a gift for your pet! Their bakery is loaded with fresh baked treats for cats and dogs, along with a whole shop of worthy gift items.
